Culinary degree from Le Cordon Bleu
Vinnie has always loved cooking, and it all started in the backyard for family and friends. When Vinnie began creating his own bbq sauce, our son Michael started asking for the “Vinnie Sauce” for every meal. Soon our friends were asking Vinnie if they could purchase his special ribs and brisket and course the Vinnie sauce for their own parties.
When Vinnie realized the small back yard smoker just wasn’t big enough, he set out to design one. The smoker trailer we use today was built by East Texas Smoker Company. In 2008 we started Vinnie’s Smokin’ BBQ catering business and began catering parties from 60 to 600 on the weekends.
Vinnie decided to expand his love of cooking by attend the Le Cordon Bleu culinary school in Sacramento, graduating with honors at the top of his class in 2012.
When Vinnie’s wife Debra suggested they move to Oregon where she was raised, they sold their house in Northern CA and moved to the Eugene -Springfield area to be closer to their families.
In 2016 they opened Vinnie’s Smokin BBQ food truck and catering business. While bbq is his passion, Vinnie will create a menu to fit your budget and suit your culinary desires.
